Focus

Christian accompanies companies, teams and executives into the digital future. As a trainer, coach and facilitator for Brainbirds, he is an expert in Agility, Change and Innovation. He has a broad expertise in all Agile Methods, Leadership Development, Mindfulness and Executive Coaching.

Christian has supported and accompanied more than 200 Agile Coaches in their development over the last few years in the Brainbirds Agile Coach training program. In the area of Leadership Training, he is a competent contact and trainer for companies from a wide range of industries that need support on the path to transformation. He is also a sought-after expert in individual Coaching and uses various methods ranging from Design Thinking (Innovation Development) and Mindfulness to Systemics and Hypnosystemics. He loves face-to-face and online facilitation and has broad expertise in dealing with diverse groups of participants. He works remotely with the tools Zoom and MS Teams and prefers to use Miro as a collaboration tool. In addition to this broad commitment, he is also a speaker on Mindfulness and Resilience.

Practical Experience

Christian has 20 years of management experience as a CEO, consultant and editor-in-chief in the digital economy. As Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of German media companies (Verlagsgruppe Handelsblatt), he introduced agile methods and processes to traditional companies and start-ups. Christian has also been supporting clients virtually since 2010 and uses his advantages as a trainer in live workshops and analog in equal measure.

He is at home in many industries. In the past year, in addition to the manufacturing industry, he has also worked in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and financial industries with leadership formats, design sprints and other workshops.

Education / Qualification

He completed his university education at the Universities of Hamburg, Lisbon (Nova), New York City (Columbia) and Oxford. He is a certified Systemic Business Coach / Trainer and Professional Scrum Master I (according to Scrum.org).He is a certified systemic business coach/trainer, hypnosystemic coach (Steven Gilligan) and Professional Scrum Master I (Scrum.org). He also has skills/certifications as a LEGO® Serious Play® Facilitator, Team Resilience Trainer and in Flight Levels, Facilitation in English and German, as well as remote and in presence.

Personal

Christian loves hiking and cycling: By the sea, in the mountains, across the countryside. He is also a book junkie and museum freak. His own yoga and qigong practice strengthens him. As does his regular meditation practice.
