Focus

Katja is a versatile Brainbirds expert on the topics of Leadership, OKR, Transformation, New Work and Agile Methods. She supports managers and teams in transferring theory into practice and empowers them to create a sustainable leadership culture. As a certified ICF Coach, she pursues a hybrid approach and combines, for example, behavioral and process coaching. What makes Katja so special is her training style, characterized by authenticity, closeness, energy and positive challenge. Katja has experience in training and coaching management teams/executives as well as in supporting transformation projects within the organization.

Practical Experience

In over 10 years of corporate experience, she has held various management positions in the areas of finance, project management, SCM, purchasing and organizational development. As a trainer at Brainbirds, she mainly works in the consumer goods, logistics, pharmaceutical and food industries.
She was an internally certified coach at Danone, where she led the agile transformation for the DACH region and supported cross-functional teams in strategic projects as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach. One of her last projects at Danone was the design and implementation of an Agile Team Cycle based on the OKR system. Virtual working has been an integral part of Katja's work since 2020 and she was already leading teams remotely before the pandemic. Today, she uses her wealth of experience to accompany individuals or groups in presence and virtually and has mastered the art of inspiring different groups in different settings.

Education / Qualification

Katja is a certified Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner (scrum.org) as well as certified in BIG FIVE Personality Analysis (LINC), Business Coaching (ICF ACC) and Agile Methods as an Agile Coach (Brainbirds). She studied International Business & Management at ESB Reutlingen and completed the second half of her studies at the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla Mexico).

Personal

In her free time, Katja enjoys being outdoors, hiking and spending time with her family. She also has a passion for containers and logistics and could spend hours watching the hustle and bustle at container ports.
